Hey Product Hunt 👋 What inspired me to build this: I kept running into the same wall every time I needed to do something simple with a file. Convert a PDF? Sign up. Remove an image background? Watermark. Compress a video? Install something sketchy. It felt like every "free tool" site had become a maze of popups, ads, and dark patterns. I'm a solo developer, and I just wanted a clean place where I could get my work done. So I started building one — for myself first, then opened it up. The problem I wanted to solve: Stop wasting people's time. You shouldn't need an account, a credit card, or a tutorial just to merge two PDFs or grayscale an image. The tools should just work, and the files should be gone when you're done with them. How the approach evolved: At first I planned ~20 essential tools. Then I realized people don't visit a site once for one tool — they come back when they trust it. So I kept adding: PDF tools, image editors, video utilities, audio processing, OCR, QR codes, color converters, dev tools (JSON, CSS, regex), text utilities... ended up with 91 tools. Then I added 7 languages because I noticed half of my early testers weren't English-first speakers. Arabic support meant figuring out RTL properly. Hindi meant rethinking my fonts. A few principles I stuck to: 🔒 Files auto-delete after 24h (Cloudflare R2, EU region) 🚫 No signup walls — guest mode works for everything 🌍 7 languages with proper RTL for Arabic 🎁 100% free for personal use, no watermarks What's next: - AI background remover & image upscaler - Batch processing for power users - Public API for developers - Chrome extension This is a solo side project, so I'd genuinely love your feedback — especially on tools you'd want added, or rough edges you spot.
