Just had my first wake up call this morning. It was really fun. A girl from Sweden called. Neither of us knew what to say. But it got me up and it was really human.
@mckaythomas Thanks for the feedback McKay, happy to hear that Wakie makes people feel better. It's all about "pay forward" concept, people helping people.
Has anyone tried the Android version that was release a while back? I'm curious to hear peoples' experience. Maybe someone's open to writing a blog post about it? I'll read it. :)
@rrhoover Hi Ryan. We have about 200K Android app downloads. So yes, there are some guys who tried it already :)
And thank you for creating Product Hunt!
Regards,
Founder of Wakie
Tried it out this morning. I ended up getting 2 calls. Unfortunately, both of them were silent, sounded like a bad connection or something. Still woke me up though.

I’m a long - serving user, nothing short of amazing the app is except a couple of annoying bugs u’ll come to terms with in no time
Wakie got quite popular when first hunted on PH. They just released an iOS app!

@gregoiregilbert Gonna try this tomorrow morning, cool idea. Also quite an amusing way to freak out your girlfriend :-)

@gregoiregilbert@jasondainter Or your wife. The moment my call ended this morning my wife immediately was on the case. "Who was that?" "Will she call again?"
@OurielOhayon Two reasons here:
1. It's more effective than regular alarm clock. Especially for those, who love to hit "snooze" button. When a complete stranger talks to you and asks you some questions, your brain has to wake up to answer them. After the call you will no longer want to sleep.
2. It's fun. People using Wakie are starting their day with a smile and great mood for whole day.
Just give it a try :)
