The goal is to measure whether a project is actively trustworthy today, not just historically popular.
finally a tool that tells me the 500-star repo has been abandoned for two years. compared a few logging libs and the side-by-side view actually helped me pick one instead of guessing.
scoring open source libs by maintenance and lightweight feels way more useful than just star counts. ran it on a couple tools I already use and the safety flags actually surfaced stuff I had no idea about.
