What do you think? …

Lennert van Sever
During the winter lockdown, I had quite some free time on my hands to start a new side project. I wanted to combine my passion for web development, geography, and history. What makes this product unique is that you can completely customize your own vintage map. So far in the market this only exists for city maps like https://www.mapiful.com but not for old world maps. When you are happy with your customizations, you can simply download a high-quality PDF for only €5 or even order a print in various sizes and materials. Looking forward to your feedback! 😊

@lennertvansever Saw this on reddit too. Best of luck.

Thank you so much for sharing this, @lennertvansever! I am a vintage map lover and this is perfect. Loved the dark theme too :)

Beautiful work @lennertvansever I recently bought a world map from Etsy but the choice available with that beautiful vintage feel was very limited and your minimal style / aesthetic here is awesome.

@leojbarnett, I'm glad you like it!

Now please make zoom levels as a premium feature, so I could make a map of my city or a block

Needs more product images, but looks cool

@btray77 indeed, I'm working on a product catalogue as we speak

@btray77 btw, if you have some more tips for the marketing, please let me know. It's not my strongest point

@lennertvansever To start with I suggest good demo photos, or help tips. Example: I can buy it with map material of wood, what's that mean... You know because you're the one who created it, but someone from the outside will wonder if this is a frame, or if its printed on actual wood, and what kind of wood, what color, etc... Basically just put your self in someone else's shoes who have no idea what the project is about. Be descriptive when you can. I always ask my parents and friends about things to get a laymen opinion on usability and if they understand something. I ask them to explain it in their own words what they think it is.

@lennertvansever Also, put inches along with centimeters for sizes. Americans don't know centimeters without mental math. 90cm (~35.5in).

Looks really good. The only issue I had was it was slow to load every time I changed a setting.
