Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built VideoPost AI because I kept running into the same wall with every AI video tool I tried: the subscription was only the start of the bill. You pay $30, $50, $80 a month, and then you pay again per video, per credit, per render. Make more videos, pay more. The tool is priced like a studio, not like software. So I built it the other way round. VideoPost AI charges you for the software and nothing else. You bring your own AI keys — OpenRouter, OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, ElevenLabs, Pexels — and your providers bill you directly at their own prices. There's no markup in the middle. Plans start at $9.99/month. What it actually does: Finds the opportunity. It polls YouTube's API on your niches, looks at the top videos from the last 7 days, clusters them by subject, and scores each cluster on views-per-hour, growth acceleration, engagement, freshness, how many independent channels are covering it, and how saturated it already is. Strong opportunities land on a Discover feed. Writes something original. This is the part I want to be precise about: trend data is used as a demand signal, never as source material. Research is done against independent sources, then it plans an editorial angle, hook and audience before writing a word of script. It is not rewriting someone else's video. Makes the video. Script → narration (Kokoro/Piper locally, or OpenAI TTS/ElevenLabs) → visuals (your own media, Pexels/Pixabay stock, or AI clips) → timed captions → FFmpeg render → automated QC pass on sync, duration, audio, originality and topic alignment. Posts it. Draft, Assisted (you approve everything) or Full Auto (it publishes on your schedule). Full Auto is opt-in and explicit — it will never publish without you turning it on. Three cost modes, and they don't leak. Free, Economy, Premium. A generation stays inside the tier you picked — no silent upgrade to an expensive model halfway through a render. Free mode runs on OpenRouter's free models with free stock footage, which can get you up to ~100 videos a day (that's a ceiling, not a promise — details in the FAQ on the site, and I'd rather explain the asterisk than hide it). What it's not: it's not a slop machine for spinning up 50 channels. The QC and originality checks exist because I wanted one channel run well, not a hundred run badly. If you're looking for a tool to mass-mirror other people's videos, this is genuinely the wrong product.
