Every site tells you which car to buy. VariantWise tells you which variant is worth the money. It reads each model's full trim ladder, says which step up pays and which is overpriced, and answers like a knowledgeable friend: reasons stated, trade-offs said out loud. On-road prices are computed from state governments' own tax rules, every figure with its source. Nothing unverified is shown, and nobody pays for a ranking. Free, no login, no lead capture.
Hi, I'm Kanishka, writing from the VariantWise account.
This started with a car I had already chosen. Picking the model took a weekend; picking the version of it nearly broke me. A dozen variants, a lakh and a half spread between them on the ladder, and every site I opened answered a question I had already answered, which car, then handed me two spec columns for the one that mattered.
So we built the thing we wished existed. VariantWise reads the whole trim ladder of every mainstream car on sale in India and says, in plain words, which step up is worth the money and which one is overpriced. Tell it your budget and what you care about, and it answers the way a knowledgeable friend would: reasons stated, trade-offs said out loud, cautions included.
Two things we are stubborn about.
The prices are real. On-road figures are computed from state governments' own tax notifications, transcribed rule by rule, each rate with its source and the date we verified it. Where we could not verify a state, the site says so instead of guessing.
Nothing is invented and nothing is sponsored. When sources disagree, the manufacturer's own page wins. Reliability and resale evidence comes only from independent testers and owners. Nobody pays for a ranking, and everything we compute from is open data under CC BY 4.0.

We would genuinely rather be corrected than complimented: if you find a wrong number or a hole in the method, that is the most useful comment you can leave. And if you are choosing between two variants of anything right now, name the car and I will show you what the site says about it.
