Quick background on my tech stack, Segment.io & Heap (Our Web + Product analytics tool currently). We've been using Heap for sometime now, and always on the lookout for alternatives. I checked out the demo, somethings I loved - the pixel whitelabelling that bypasses ad blockers, coherent view of web + products, the attribution modelling!
Also, great backlink hack via the Badge program - definitely a PLG hack that's worked.
Overall I think I check this product out with my product growth team! Congrats @waq_azeem on the launch, and all the best!
Such a game changing tool. I've been very lucky to be its early adopter. Its ease of use is something which I really like. Great team. They're shipping new feature every month. Keep making it more awesome!
Congrats on the launch, Waqar. I'm amazed to see how far your team has come in such a short span. Loving all the fantastic updates. Keep up the great work!
One of the smartest tools... I've shifted a couple of clients from GA4 to UserMaven! Waqar has a history of building nice products, listening to customer feedback and improving them on a regular basis!
Analytics, tracking, user engagement and performance metrics are all essential for my SaaS Reviews, Comparisons and Coupons Marketplace. These indicators will help me to monitor and improve user experience as well as to analyze my marketing efforts. After hearing positive reviews about Usermaven, built by the same team behind ContentStudio, I decided to test it out for myself.
It’s very easy to get started with Usermaven. I was able to get everything set up in a couple of minutes with the help of the API credentials. What surprised me the most was integrations and detailed documentation they have - for Google Tag Manager and React.js, to Node.js and Next.js SDK - even Webflow, Shopify, and SquareSpace! Usermaven also has plugins for WordPress and Bubble.io.
Usermaven's comprehensive web analytics dashboard shows statistics such as the number of visitors, pageviews, sessions, visit duration, bounce rate, top sources , UTM metrics ,top pages , devices and locations plus keyword based analytics.
For SaaS product based platforms, it also tracks users acquisition by channel, user stickiness metrics, most engaged users, features usage, onboarding insights, adoption and retention metrics. It’s quite easy to track visitor journey from their first touch point until they leave your site.
Usermaven also has features like segments, funnels analysis. In attribution analysis you can create attribution report for any custom event like signup, bookings and can also add conditions to it. In events section, you will see detailed events captured from your site like page view, page leave, scroll, button click and other user interactions.
Other Notable Features : Team Collaboration, Pixel-white-labeling, email reports, multiple currency support, cookie-less tracking, exclude bot traffic, workspaces to manage multiple brands, google search console and have dark mode too!
Overall Usermaven is very simple and beginner friendly tool with zero learning curve. After installing the Usermaven tracking on my site, I haven’t faced any issues with Pagespeed Insights score or page loading speed. They also have well documented guides so I never had to contact support for help. Though I got quick reply to one of my queries from the team. From changelog, I can conclude that they are actively developing this product and it’s from one of the most renowned people in SaaS. So I will recommend to check out Usermaven and do give it a try!
I've been using Usermaven for about a month and am very happy with it. Like Waqar says in his note, he built it because the other tools are too complicated to set up. This is especially true for an early stage startup that hasn't hit PMF yet. Usermaven is easy-to-setup and easy-to-use. It gives useful reports with minimal configuration. Best of all, for me, it supports both and allows me to separate reports for https://clockk.com (our public, marketing site) and https://app.clockk.com (our actual app). Most tools just blur these together and make reporting on them individually really hard.
I look forward to expanding my use of Usermaven.
I have been using Usermaven since the beginning, and I am a big fan of its simplicity, easy-to-use dashboard, reports, and other features. It provides everything we need from an analytics tool. Congratulations on your Product Hunt launch.
Using it for over 6 months, and offers the best of GA, Mixpanel and privacy focus analytics tools like Fathom.
Usermaven is a good alternative to GA, but still have things to improve.
One thing is translation to other languages, I love how reports are simple to view and very concise, but my clients don't understand them as they are in english.
