UI = awesome. Concept = amazing! Software = wayyy tooo beta for use. No hyperlinking? no swipe to delete? I'll check back later. Would love to replace Spark.
@f_molina Hi Felix! Thank you for the support! We would love to hear more about what changes would make Twobird your favorite app. Feel free to let us know your thoughts at feedback@twobird.com.

@f_molina Yeah there are quite a few things missing. I've used pretty much every startup email client mobile and desktop you can think of and sadly always revert back to Gmail on mobile and Thunderbird on desktop.
On mobile, visually it looks great, much better than Gmail but already an annoyance I found is no left to right swipe to delete option, only right to left (I'm a righty and hold my phone with my left hand primarily). The other annoyance is within an email there is no fixed trash button, have to hit the 3 button menu to reveal the trash option.
I am waiting to get Dark Theme on Gmail, it's a slow rollout but Google's been using more of a dark grey in their latest Dark Theme's where as yours I like more being closer to solid black than grey.
@chrisdolle Our plan is definitely not scraping your private details – we don’t like that as a business model either. Our plan is to offer the current feature set for free, and sell premium features in the future. Please see our FAQ and privacy policy at the bottom of our website.

First things first. Congrats for:
- launching on all major platforms (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows)
- having a dark mode from the get-go (btw, OLED phone owners would appreciate a black mode)
- not requiring the email recipients to sign up for Twobird in order to edit shared notes
With that said, the app is very clearly a work in progress. That's fine, since it's not advertised as a finished product. I wish you guys the best and hope to see Twobird evolve into an incredible email app!
I emailed you some feedback, since there is not feedback button in the Android app, as the welcome email suggests...
Quick question: is it possible to support Gmail's built in "Send Mail as.." feature? That would be amazing.
@anna_0x Thank you for the support Anna! We are excited to continue improving Twobird and greatly appreciate your feedback. We do not currently support the Gmail "Send Mail as" feature but will keep it on our radar for future development. We do allow you to connect multiple mail accounts in Twobird, so if you simply want to switch which account you send from, you can do that in the composer. Thanks again!

@cleary_chizmar glad to help in some way! The Send As.. feature is the main thing missing here for me. I never ever use my gmail address to send email, so the app is kind of useless without that feature 😅 Tempo’s done it by the way. I really like Tempo but Twobird’s shared notes feature is honestly very intriguing so I’ll be keeping an eye on it. Good luck again! 🍀
@anna_0x Thanks Anna! Your feedback was incredible, and we are actively working on many of the things you mentioned 🙌

@cleary_chizmar I know you guys already implemented the save as feature! That was crazy fast, thanks :) Great experience emailing your customer support.

Just discussed this new email app from the makers of Notability. They are trying to merge notes and email. Good thing is that the app is available for all major platforms and design is very minimal. What do you think of this guys?
Report
i thought the notes will be 'integrated' with the email that it's associated with - say i wanted to remind myself to check on the video link inside a certain email, i'd put on a note on it using Twobird. i tried adding a note and it sort of came up as an 'independent' note, right up at the top of my email stack.
so the note comes in between emails? am i using it wrong?
and the check icon confused me; since it's green and a checkmark, i thought it will mark my message as 'read'. it surprised me when it archived the email, nothing i had intended to do.
thanks for the idea, or maybe i should try navigating around it more.
@kate_buenavista Thanks Kate! Please reach out to us regarding any aspects of the app that confuse you, so we can improve them. In regards to the notes, you can create them independently from emails to jot down personal ideas (which remain in the notes section of your inbox) or you can share a note to have it included in any email thread (this can be done by copy and pasting the note link or by clicking the "email note" button from inside the specific note). You can click the remind button on a note to have the it return to your inbox and alert you at a specified time. I hope this helps clarify how notes work :).

I really like the idea here. It reminds me of Notion - trying to make one tool to do things instead of 20. Curious why there isn't a calendar feature? Would be neat if I saw reminders, emails, and calendar events in my inbox and I'm already giving it access to google which is where the calendar is. anyway keep up the good work - going to using the product more.
@caleb_lawrence Hi Caleb! You've got the idea—we are trying to simplify and integrate the core benefits of many apps into a single lightweight alternative. And you'll be happy to know that we are planning on building a calendar integration in the near future. Thanks for your support!
Trying this out now. Props to launching on all major apps! Hopefully this can replace bloated Spark.
As a left handed user thank you for adding touch slide out gesture for the sidebar on mobile!
Would love to be able to swipe left or full right swipe to delete a message like you can set in Spark.
Best of luck 🙌
@scottramsay Thank you Scott! Glad to hear that we are suiting your left handed needs. Let us know if there are other features you would like to see (you can reach us at feedback@twobird.com).
