@sanalck007 we do, but we use sustainably sourced wood and can make 300,000 cards from one tree. That said, recycled wood (from tables etc) isn’t off limits. That could be a cool idea actually— we’ll look into this.

Why not make the card out of bamboo and then use the profits to ant trees?

@itsbrex Bamboo is a pretty awesome material so we’ll look into that too. For now our cards are all made from sustainably sourced FSC cherry wood in the U.K. (and we can produce up to 300,000 cards from the wood of a single tree). In general there’s no problem with using sustainably harvested wood—this is actually a great recyclable material—the key issue that we’re solving supporting is forest areas that are cut down in an unsustainable fashion. That’s where the damage happens.
