Tiny API is building a centralised platform that offers a wide range of essential APIs and developer tools. Our product will empower businesses of all sizes to easily access, integrate, and manage powerful APIs within their applications.
👋 Hey Product Hunt community!
I'm a developer turned solopreneur who built a 6-figure agency. I know the pain of integrating third-party APIs and thought, "Why not solve this for a larger audience?"
🎨 Artists have Spotify, designers have Figma, and writers have Substack. But what about us, developers? We're left with freelancing, consulting, or hackathons for one-time side income.
💰 APIs generate billions annually, yet over 90% don't make a dime. They end up as open-source projects on Github, often dying without proper backing.
🚀 That's why I created Tiny API. Think of it as Substack for developers. Write code for an API the world needs, and collect revenue. We're building for the 25M+ developers out there—88% of whom already code outside of work and more than a third are trying to earn from it.
☕️ No more stitching together loose parts and settling for 'Buy Me a Coffee'. If you have an existing API you're looking to monetise and manage better, reach out to me at shashank@tinyapi.co.
Let's change the game. 🛠️
@ardalan_pouyabahar Thank you.
To answer your question, Rapid API takes a 20-30% cut on API sales. We're more developer-friendly on that front. Also while it is fantastic it's not really built for the individual developer. It's become a place for larger companies to showcase their APIs.
Think of us as the Substack for APIs, while Rapid API is more like Medium. We're all about empowering individual developers.
@theshajha First off, massive kudos for recognizing such a prevalent gap in the market and taking the initiative. I love the comparison to Substack; it resonates with the need for developers to have a dedicated platform.
Considering the vast variety of APIs out there, do you provide any guidelines or best practices to help developers ensure their API offering has a broad appeal?
Good luck with your venture, and I'm genuinely excited to see where Tiny API goes from here

💎 Pixel perfection
I love this.
So many little tools I love floating around that I wish I could api-into.
I was just talking to someone a few weeks ago about the risks small devs run if they provide an api (stability, SLA's, etc)
Looks like this solves it as a service! Very cool.
Do you have any plans for a 'you only pay if you get customers' type of plan? (Like https://breeew.com/ )?
Didn't see pricing but v curious about it.
Landing looks super great! Polished and amazing gradient choices. Congrats on your launch!
@esus you nailed it on the problem statement. Solving exactly for that.
Honestly, we don't charge devs anything unless they get paying customers. If they have tons of free customers, we don't charge them for it. On paying customers, devs keep 90% of the revenue.
@theshajha Great job on the Tiny API launch. I love to see powerful tools being created by individuals that were once only reserved for enterprise-level businesses. Best, @david_mcanulty
