Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
I'm Affan, and I built Threshyr Edu solo to give students an honest, distraction-free study tool.
I don't believe in a 'study tax', too many apps charge $30–$70/year just for basic timers and focus stats. I wanted to build something completely local, private, and free forever.
💡 WHY I BUILT THIS
When studying, students usually face two extremes:
1. Toy Pomodoro timers that don't connect to actual courses or deadlines.
2. Bloated enterprise time trackers requiring monthly subscriptions and harvesting user data.
I wanted something built specifically for academic life: a tool to organize real coursework, track focused study time, and see if you’re actually dedicating enough hours to each class, without invading your privacy.
✨ WHAT MAKES THRESHYR EDU DIFFERENT
• Academic-first workflow: Organize tasks by Course (Assignments, Exams, Projects, Study sessions) with a visual Kanban board.
• Integrated timers & timesheets: One-click timers directly on your course cards with editable session logs.
• Local-first & 100% private: No signups, no logins, no cloud syncing, and zero background activity tracking. Everything lives strictly on your computer.
• Free forever: No subscription paywalls, no trial limits, and no ads.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and what study features you'd like to see next. Thank you for your support! 🚀
