Hey Product Hunters!
Introducing TextPorta. I know what you're thinking: "Great, another translation app". Hear me out.
TextPorta translates e-books fast. And I mean it when I say fast: we're talking hundreds of pages done in under a minute. You have to see it to believe it.
Sure, more "professional" services exist. But at what cost? Paying as much for a single AI translation as the book itself? Credits that vanish before you know it? TextPorta is priced reasonably. And to let you judge the quality yourself, we give you 5 free translations with no page or character limits.
Here's what you get: support for 30+ formats and 200+ languages, flexible translation placement (above, below, left or right of the original text), color coding for the original and translated text, custom dictionary uploads so you can control exactly what gets translated (or doesn't), cloud storage for all your books and translations for as long as you're a member, and a built-in EPUB reader so you can start reading right away.
TextPorta performs best with standard e-book formats like EPUB, MOBI and AZW3. Nonfiction translates really well. Literary translation quality is already decent and we're actively working to push it further. Here's the honest take: our cost is significantly lower than competitors and the quality gap isn't nearly as wide. PDF and OCR support aren't available yet, but we're working hard to implement them properly. Preserving the layout of complex files (tables, multi-column content, etc.) is also high on our roadmap.
Beyond what I've mentioned, what would you improve or add to TextPorta? I read every single piece of feedback personally.
Also, to celebrate our Product Hunt launch, we're offering 20% off the annual unlimited plan for one week.

This is exactly the kind of problem AI should be solving.
240 languages + 30+ formats is seriously impressive.
Big unlock for authors going global. Congrats on the launch
@osmandlsmn thanks so much for the comment and the support!
The site works very well. I think this is the best site developed for this purpose.
@haktug thank you! Your support means a lot to me.

I think we need more educational tools for humans
One of big gap is not a partial translation, whole book. Thanks Kemal to build that!
@hmert Thank you, so grateful you showed up for my first launch!
If you have complex documents with equations, photos, drawings etc, this is the exact AI solution you need to translate it. Not a mere wrapper but a perfect segmentation of the document and a translation to any language you can think of is now available on TextPorta.
Also, custom dictionary for domain specific translations make meaningful translations, rather than mechanical machine translations your readers will hate.
@erdal_bektas Thanks Erdal! We're working hard to implement those features as seamlessly as possible. Hopefully we'll ship a version that handles complex documents better and actually lives up to your kind words.
