We’ve all been there: You get a long WhatsApp message with a schedule, or an email with travel details. To save it, you have to switch back and forth between apps, copy-pasting the date, then the time, then the location... It’s a tedious, friction-filled process that hasn’t changed in years. Text2Cal eliminates the manual work. It extracts every detail from your text or images and creates a calendar event for you in less than 2 seconds. Stop typing out dates and times manually. Let AI do it.

👋 Maker here! I built this to stop the "Copy-Paste-Switch App" dance.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m the creator of Text2Cal.
I built this app because I found myself constantly annoyed by a simple daily task: moving plans from my phone screen to my calendar.
Whether it was a long WhatsApp message with a meeting time, a messy SMS thread, or a screenshot of an event flyer, the process was always the same: memorize the date, switch apps, type it in, switch back to check the time, switch back again... 😓
I wanted a way to just "dump" that information somewhere and have the event created instantly.
Text2Cal takes less than 2 seconds:
1. Share directly to app or Copy text (or take a screenshot).
2. Add to Calendar.
No integration required!!!
I’d love to hear your feedback - especially on how it handles your messiest text threads!
Let me know what you think! 🚀

@yahavf6 The “dump and done” idea is exactly right. No integrations and a two second flow make this feel lightweight, not like another system to manage.
Small tools like this stick because they remove friction from everyday habits. While building Curatora, I have seen how much people value tools that quietly save mental energy. Curious to see how it handles real world messy messages.

@imtiyazmohammed Thanks so much! 'Dump and done' was exactly the mantra while building this. I wanted to eliminate that friction entirely. Dealing with those 'messy' real-world messages—the ones with typos or weird formatting—is where I spent the most time refining the logic. Really appreciate the support from a fellow builder!

This looks incredible. The biggest pain point with digital calendars is the time it takes to manually input the start time, end time, title, etc. Using natural language to bypass all those clicks is brilliant.
How does the app handle recurring events? For example, if I type 'Gym every Monday at 6 PM,' will it populate that forward?

@yonatan_strauss You hit the nail on the head! That’s exactly how it works. If you type 'Gym every Monday at 6 PM,' the app recognizes the recurring pattern and populates your calendar forward automatically.
No more clicking through menus just to set a routine!

So simple to use, it saves a lot of time for me; no longer copy dates and details from Whatsapp...

Great app!
Can I sync it with other calendars?
@shai_shinfeld Hey there!
Yep! App works without any integration with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, Outlook Office 365 and Yahoo Calendar 💪
Does the app works with google calendar?

Hey there!
It sure does! We support full integration with Google, Apple, Outlook, and Yahoo Calendar. Just type your event and we'll handle the syncing! 🚀
Looks fascinating.
Does it support mobile only?
@hezi_bosmi Hey!
Currently building a WhatsApp bot & ChatGPT Application!
Can't wait to show you what it can do 🤭
Love it.
