To-do lists can be overwhelming, making it harder to be productive. Task Kitchen simplifies them by assigning each task a duration and start time. Timeboxing has never been easier, so get cooking!
Hey PH,
I'm Bill, 17, builder of Task Kitchen with Aidan (@aataha). We started this project in December 2023 to tackle our own productivity motivation. After 2 iterations of the product, we built the perfect procrastination enabler.
Here is how Task Kitchen simplifies your To-Do list:
1. Enter your tasks with estimated duration (in natural language e.g. "Homework 60" for a 60 min task)
2. Task Kitchen schedules the task without conflicting with your calendars
In addition, you can sync with your to-do apps and track your current task with the "Now" page.
See if timeboxing works for you by trying the app for free. I would love to hear your feedback, and I'll be here to answer all your questions.

@billxby rockin job, Bill! You were smart and made it available to the masses (apple AND android)!
Could AI be incorporated and when a treat is input, ai could suggest subtasks to assist with the main task? Such as your homework example. AI might suggest ensuring you have certain things necessary to complete the homework...or if you say you're camping, AI might suggest creating a packing list for you...Something like that?
@glen_dsouza_1 Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to hear you find Task Kitchen promising. I'd love to hear your feedback as you use it to enhance your workflow. Happy timeboxing!
I really struggle with time boxing. Doing a day job and startup it's really tough to get everything done. I love the syncing feature so my gmail cal is brought in too, that way time boxing doesn't encroach on other events. Thanks for building this!

Hey Bill, loving the idea behind Task Kitchen! 🍳 Timeboxing really does feel like the secret sauce to productivity. The natural language input for task duration is a game-changer. No more tedious typing—just quick and easy!
Can't wait to see how it integrates with other to-do apps too. Have you guys considered building in some analytics features to track productivity over time? Would be cool to see those KPIs in action. Keep the updates coming, looking forward to trying it out!

So we're supposed to believe that breaking down our list into chunks will magically fix our productivity, isn't that just another way to waste more time planning instead of doing? Maybe it’s not for everyone, seems like it’s just overcomplicating simple tasks, but who knows, maybe someone will find it useful 💭
