Teleprompter apps scroll a script well. None fix what the script does to your audio: to read off your phone you stand back, and at that distance the mic records the room with you. Takewell runs an open source speech model on the phone after each take, removing background noise and room echo, then levels the volume so nothing clips. On the review screen you flip between the original and the cleaned take and hear it. iOS Free on every take, no credits. Your video and audio stay on the phone.

Hi Product Hunt, I built Takewell.
Reading a script off your phone puts it about arm's length away, and at that distance the mic hears a lot of the room. Takewell is a teleprompter built to fix that. After each take, DeepFilterNet, an open source speech model, runs on the phone to reduce background noise and room echo, and you can switch between the original and the cleaned take on the review screen.
The cleanup runs on the phone, so your video and audio never leave it, and there's no account. It's free on every take with no credits, and it adds no EQ or compression. The volume gets evened out under a ceiling so nothing clips.
The free version covers the teleprompter, captions and the cleanup, with takes up to 60 seconds. Pro removes the time limit and the export watermark and syncs your scripts across iPhones.
If you record talking-head videos on your phone, I'd like to hear how it handles your room.
