String Theories

The natural language search engine for your thoughts.

In the past, I've found that I constantly want to write down my thoughts, but rarely interact with them/remember where I store them. String Theories is a place to store thoughts, challenge them in conversation, and search for them with natural language.

Hi! And thanks for checking out my product! This is the first prototype of String theories, and also my first time launching on ProductHunt! In the past, I've found that I constantly want to write down my thoughts, but either: a) I completely forget about them or can't find where I wrote them (paper, Google Docs, Word, notepad?), b) writing things down breaks my train of thought/creativity, or c) I don't have conversations to explore them more deeply. This is my first prototype, so I'd love to hear from others and get your feedback! Have you had this problem in your daily life/building journey? Honestly I have the exact same problem. I always need to write down some thoughts or ideas but then I just forget about 'where' I wrote them them. I like that _String Theories_ help to remember about them and to challenge them always ! Tha'ts great ! I have a question though. Do you intend to make it a hub for our thoughts ? I mean, drive the users to use your tool rather than dispatching all the notes in various different app ? If yes, how ? Well, Happy Launch @alexander_zhu !!!! I'll learn from it I guess.
Alexander Zhu
@anonx9 Hi Marcel, thanks for your comment! Yes, I'm planning on making it a hub dedicated to minimal interaction, like the Google or Perplexity search engines. I want it to be a place to record thoughts on-the-go, with personalized reminders and suggestions. I find platforms like Obsidian and Roam too much for me to handle on a daily basis, and want to cater this platform to be as low-friction as possible (minimal manual organization/heirarchy, just natural language search). As this is my first prototype, I'd love to get your feedback on that! What would you want to see from a central thoughts hub?
Marcel NAMETISSA
Hey @alexander_zhu ! I tested your prototype ! ( I guess we'll put the ui aspect aside right ? It's just a prototype. ) I really like the way you use AI to discuss about the thoughts gathered. It really helps to develop an idea further and further. As you said, tools like Obsidian are somewaht overwhelming so simplicity is key ( for me ). One think I would like is to access your app on any device and a way to export conversation in a form of file to share it. A kind of summary could be good too. I mean, a way to extract key points and potential ideas from the conversation. Well, it's an idea haha. Also 😅, your product insipire me to advance on mine. I'm building my first SASS ever and I don't even know what to do exactly. These interactions help me to learn. Thank you.

There were so many ideas that we missed out on due to a lack of thorough evaluation. This is an exciting product, and I hope it helps us delve deeper into our thoughts and perhaps even generate some amazing ideas.

Congratulations on the launch! Is it possible to bulk import a bunch of thoughts, e.g., from txt, md, or Notion? Thanks!
Alexander Zhu
@semanser Hey Andriy! Thanks so much for your comment, I'd love to see your launch soon :) That is a priority on the timeline! I'm hoping to be able to parse general formats of lists in the next week.

As a passionate music enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for tools that can help me explore and express my creativity in new ways. String Theories is an absolute game-changer in this space. The ability to generate original, AI-composed musical pieces from simple text prompts is truly remarkable. I'm amazed by the way the platform is able to translate my ideas and inspirations into fully-fledged, harmonically-rich compositions. The diverse array of instruments, genres, and styles on offer allows me to experiment and discover new sonic possibilities. But what I love most about String Theories is how it empowers me to engage with music in a more active, hands-on way. The intuitive editing tools, the seamless integration with my DAW, and the collaborative features make it easy for me to further refine and personalize the AI-generated tracks.
