Hey all! 👋 For months, my wife and I were manually and haphazardly using ChatGPT to generate bedtime stories for our 3-year-old daughter (mostly using her ideas as prompts), so I built this app to make bedtime a lot easier! It's a simple UI, perfect for a calming bedtime routine. Set your kid's age, story length, and optionally, the name and gender of the main character in the story — then write your own ideas for a story to generate (or use a randomized story theme). Storytime AI writes out a unique story, personalized to your kids' interests! It's currently able to generate stories in 10 different languages, and I'm planning to add more soon! I have hundreds of users already using the app, and many (including me and my wife) have been using it every night during bedtime — and most importantly, the kids absolutely love it. Give it a try, there's no signup required! I'm still working on features and improvements, but would love some feedback if you have any! Thanks a ton!

@nathanwchan My mom said when I was young, I used to throw tantrums to my mom because I didn't want to go to bed alone. If she had known about a tool like this back then, she would have loved it. This product is perfect for parents who need to take care of their children and make sure they sleep well at night!

Oh man how cool is this? I will try this with my niece and nephews next time I go and visit them! Childrens' interests change so much when they are little and I find the best way to connect with them is pick up on the thing or topic they are obsessed with right now and go to town on that. My little nephew is 3 and LOVES diggers and tractors, so I bet he would really like a story about little Viktor travelling around the world in a tractor or whatever.. Are you planning to use AI generated images to accompany the story.. that would be next level. Such a good idea.. well done!!

@janine_nitz exactly! My daughter has different and unique requests every night, and now our bedtime stories have a way to keep up with her! No current plan to add images — I felt like the quality of DALL-E, Midjourney and others were just not good enough to accompany the text. I also didn’t feel like it was needed during our bedtime, personally. My wife and I prefer that we just read the story to her and not have her looking at our device while reading. It’s helped with the calming bedtime routine! Thanks for the support! Let me know how the nieces and nephews like it!!

Love that it can do other languages too! A lot of these don't Do you have plans for image generation? Seems to be more engaging for kids Would have to have evoke-app.com to make a backend for this
