Steplify.ai

An AI calendar that helps you stop procrastinating

Nearly 80% of people struggle with procrastination, often because big, long, and difficult tasks feel overwhelming. Another major cause is poor time estimation — people either overestimate tasks and avoid them, or underestimate them and rush at the last minute. Steplify.ai is a simple, smart, personal AI calendar that breaks tasks into small steps, realistically estimates time, schedules them into Google Calendar, and provides progress feedback while you work. Plan less. Start easy. Keep moving.

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Tom, founder of Steplify.ai. Me and my friend Bill are recent college grads and we built Steplify.ai because we personally struggled with procrastination for years. In school, we often asked ourselves why we didn’t start projects earlier, why we crammed for exams at the last minute, or why something that felt doable still caused so much stress and anxiety. After talking to many people around us, we realized how common this is. Most procrastination isn’t about motivation, but about big, scary tasks, poor time estimation, and feeling lost once you start, with no real sense of progress. Steplify.ai is our attempt to fix this by breaking tasks into small steps, estimating time realistically, and showing progress as you work, integrated with Google Calendar. We’re still early and learning, and we’d genuinely love any feedback or thoughts from the community.

@tomsteplifyai Love this! Procrastination’s been my arch-nemesis forever—big tasks always feel impossible to start. Breaking them into small steps + Google Calendar sync? Chef’s kiss. As a fellow grad who’s been there, huge props to you and Bill for building something actually useful.

@joe_linchance Thank you so much Joe!

This is very relatable. Procrastination is rarely about motivation and more about tasks feeling too big or unclear. Breaking work into realistic steps and showing progress feels like the right approach. Congrats on the launch.

Really loving Steplify.ai — especially the Google Calendar integration. I’m a PhD student, and it’s been super helpful for managing complex, repetitive lab experiments. I just define the workflow once, and Steplify handles the scheduling and reminders. Even with multiple experiments running in parallel, everything stays organized. Been using it before launch and was excited to see it go live. Definitely recommended.

I’ve mainly used Steplify for research projects so far and found it surprisingly helpful. I often just organize by high-level goals rather than detailed plans, and having the task breakdown made progress much easier to track. I also don’t need to change my own workflow, which is great. It’s easy to update as directions quickly evolves, and avoids the overhead of larger project management tools. It has been a real help, and I can see it also being helpful beyond academia.
