I built StartupCheck because I got tired of people nodding politely at ideas that deserved a funeral.
I'm a solo founder. I've been on both sides, pitching bad ideas and listening to bad ideas while smiling. The feedback loop is broken. Friends won't tell you. Investors give you signals you can't decode. Advisors give you comfort when you need clarity.
So I built five tools that say what humans won't:

A few things that make this different:
- No signup needed. 3 free checks/day, same brutal output for everyone.
- Self-hosted AI (Ollama + Gemma). Your input never hits OpenAI or any external service.
- The queue is slow on purpose. CPU-only. Patience is part of the personality.
- Builder plan (€7/mo) gets you 50 checks/day and "Hit Me Harder" mode, less filter, more sting.
I built this on Rails 8, SQLite, and a single CPU server. No VC. No team. Boring stack, playful product.
