Sorting Hat is one AI native platform in place of your ATS, CRM, sourcing, scheduling, and screening stack. AI sources from your own database, runs screening calls and writes notes onto the record. We migrate you off Bullhorn or Ceipal without losing a single comment. We built an assistant for your recruiters that takes care of all repetitive tasks so you can focus on what matters.
I started a talent search firm at 18 and scaled it to a 15 member team. I have personally lived the thing this product fixes: a recruiter's day is mostly chasing, screening and typing notes, and none of that is the part clients pay for.
Two things we learnt building this that changed the product:
1.Your database is already the best source you have, and it is a mess. We audited 3M candidate records across firms. 10% duplicates, 10% junk, 80% genuinely unique and reusable. Most firms buy the same profile again on Naukri or LinkedIn because they cannot find what they already own. Firms using us cut portal spend from roughly $100 to $60 per role.
2. Buying AI is easy, adoption is where it dies. Every staffing firm we met had bought an AI tool nobody logged into. So we do the migration ourselves, off Bullhorn, Ceipal, Recruit CRM or Recruiterflow, with every comment and attachment intact, then sit with the team until they actually use it. Same headcount, 2x the roles carried.
One counterintuitive finding for anyone building outreach: in this market a phone call still beats everything. Roughly 40% response on calls, 25% on WhatsApp, 12 to 15% on email. We built AI voice calling first because of that data, not because voice AI is trendy.
What is inside: AI calling and AI video interviews, natural language search across your own database plus LinkedIn, a scraper, open read and write API, pay and bill, timesheets.
Would love blunt feedback, especially from anyone running a desk today. What is the one part of your week you would hand to a machine tomorrow?
Great build!
