I am curious about 2 things. If this one doesn't work will they go after SC with an internally designed application again? And, I wonder if they'll juice the app with their owned and operated distribution? To me that's the signal this is for real. Otherwise, it's just a low priced call option on catching lighting in a bottle.
One thing to note: I give them credit for going after it. Having been involved in big companies in the past, I am sure this wasn't the easiest thing to accomplish politically.
BTW isn't Product Hunt the shit?

@rrhoover (or anyone) any sense of what the react is doing? Is it Frontback like? Shots "reply with a selfie?"
Sigh, anyone else feeling like they are getting messaging app overload? It's getting a bit silly - I'm not sure what need this solves? Facebook missed the boat on this one, but it's going to throw everything it's got at it to try and replicate it... again.
I'm not sure I would trust Facebook, either. I want less messaging apps; one app to rule them all.
@allnick - uh-oh... what have I done? :)
@ow - I like using multiple apps and use multiple for different use cases and people. That said, getting your friends onboard can be a challenge.
@jmover - all part of their master marketing campaign. I think it's working.
