@david_diam We include a lot of apps which aren't in Slack's own app directory, and we also categorize apps differently to make it easier to find alternatives.
We're also starting to write reviews of apps, to tell you a little bit more about how they work in practice.
Hopefully, this will help you find more useful and relevant apps than you'd find elsewhere!
@bentossell@david_diam Yes, we agree that an app review system is sorely needed! Regarding the slack name - we're not affiliated with Slack in any way, it's just a factual name that we review apps that are integrated with Slack.
@curiousdamian Great site - very much needed! And thanks for featuring Kyber (http://www.slackreview.com/revie...). Do you know how the website's screenshot is imported? We have an image as background but it's not appearing on your site. Is there a way to perhaps switch to our Slack landing page (https://kyber.me/slack-integrati...)? Thank you and keep up with the great work - we will share the site with our Slack users.
@sivola I'll investigate that now and get it fixed for you ASAP. The screenshot is generated using phantomjs - I'm not 100% sure what happened, but it's possible that phantomjs received the event that the page was loaded before the background image was finished, or perhaps you're using some cutting-edge CSS on your site!
@curiousdamian Awesome - if you are working on it, perhaps just switch to our Slack landing page (we offer Kyber on more platforms): https://kyber.me/slack-integrati.... Will it get refreshed if we make changes in the future btw? Thank you!
@rossdcurrie I don't know that it's a particularly polished design yet, but I do I think that the best UI (UX?) is taking what's important to the user and making it as clear and easy as possible. In my opinion, it's the function that's first, and the polish that comes later
