SkyHi is the first flat rate flying club that takes the pricing guesswork out of travel. Pay 1 monthly subscription Flights start at $35. Fly 5 times in 1 month. Get $35 in SkyHi credit using this link: https://flyskyhi.com/invited/krism
So I'm essentially paying a lower price than the premium for a flight I'd be booking in <10 days
If I book my flight way in advance, SkyHi is *technically* more expensive. Do people impulse fly that often to sign up for something like this?
What's the cancellation policy like?
This has definitely piqued my curiosity
@tabish_gilani Hi. Turns out that more and more people are booking tickets far closer to the time of takeoff. Perfect timing for SkyHi!
Membership is month to month. You can pause membership for a $35 fee per month. You can cancel, but there is a reactivation fee of $99.

@tabish_gilani "more expensive"? at least in the majority of cities I would travel to/from, $35/one way - $70 round trip - it doesn't matter how long ahead I book, I can't get anywhere close to that. Including the $200, if I'm only flying once per month, then yes, it's comparable, but if you're flying more than one round trip per month, I'm not sure how it's even close. You seem to be giving up a degree of specificity.

are there any plans to make more international travel accessible for US-based customers? I'm curious why flights between Boston and Reykjavik aren't an option.
Hi! I’m Rama, CEO and co-founder of SkyHi. Grateful to have it on Product Hunt.
We’re here to forever simplify the flight booking experience with always fixed pricing and a one click booking. We want to encourage more travel by making it easy and accessible to all, while helping airlines fill empty seats on planes.
Here to answer any questions you have.
@rama_poola This is an impressive model. How do you deal with pricing spikes and SkyHi's bottom line? The timing of flight booking at the cheapest rate seems like its a black hole that people have been trying to figure out for ages.
I’ve been using SkyHi for the last few months and absolutely love it. If you do a lot of short notice travel, this is an absolute GODSEND!

@loganknowitall Do you find there are enough available flights each time you want to fly (excluding holiday seasons)? In the FAQ it says there are no guarantees that there will always be flights available between the two cities you choose. This seems to be worth it only if you know you can rely on having flights available with such a short window of time to book.
@yochevedb I had some trouble during the holiday season (understandably) but generally no. The only gripe I have is sometimes I have to fly into or out of Oakland or San Jose (vs San Francisco). But for the price, it’s worth it.
I didn't see anything about taxes and baggage fees. I'm presuming a carrier's baggage fees are charged separately through them? I didn't see anything on the site regarding whether the $35/flight includes flight taxes or not.

I wonder what was the reason for making Facebook the only option for sign up with all that's going on...
