Skillsync analyzes your codebase to find domain experts, discover unique skills, and capture successful patterns. No surveys needed—just timely insights that help you scale what works across your team.

Awesome job by Nars and team on Skillsync. A valuable product to seek out innovators and original contributors in a world where more and more code is written by LLMs.

Thanks@aakash_bhatt! Agreed, it's getting wild out there!
This is one of the most thoughtful takes I’ve seen on developer intelligence
Skillsync doesn’t just track what you ship — it understands how you think. That’s a massive leap from green squares and PR counts.
A few standout ideas:
Real-time skill graphs based on actual code collaboration
Surface hidden domain experts and decision-making patterns
Build playbooks and even agents powered by your team’s best thinking
Ideal for open source and internal teams alike
It’s rare to see a tool that respects engineering as a craft — not just output. Skillsync brings visibility to the nuance: good judgment, great reviews, insightful comments — all the soft-but-crucial parts of engineering that don’t show up in metrics.
As AI coding agents get more common, tools like this will be foundational to teaching them from real, human team dynamics.
Big fan of this mission. Definitely worth trying on your repo!
🔍 Cool tool! Automating talent discovery in codebases could boost dev productivity. Would love to see the NLP/ML models behind it - how it handles legacy code vs. modern stacks. Early traction is promising!
Loved the product !

@sangamesh_kulkarni Also special shoutout to you for helping us meet @nachiketh10 :)
this is brilliant. are you using it on open source projects already to create a db?

Thanks@jason_chernofsky !! Yess we are indexing new open source repos every single day!! So far we have Tensorflow, Linux kernel, Rust compiler, VS code, FFMPEG, Manim (any guesses why?) to name a few! Do let us know if you want to see any particular open source project on skillsync :)

Are the dashboards inside the chat generated on the fly? looks very cool

@abhishek_marrivagu Hahah pretty cool right? since different types of analyses require different types of ui components and charts, we decided to keep it dynamic. We predefined a bunch of ui components and we're asking the ai to strictly use only those components to generate reports!

Loved it!
