Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Mir, maker of Sketch & Speed. My kids gave me the product brief. So I built it. It started with Aliha and Sufiyaan, 7 and 8. Like many siblings, they couldn't always agree on what to play on the iPad. Instead of choosing another app for them, I asked: "If you could design your own app, what would you put in it?" They had specifications. 😊 Aliha is artistic. Sufiyaan wanted games. Together they asked for drawing, cars, challenges, rewards and choices. I had one requirement of my own: if they're going to spend time on a screen, I wanted some of that time to involve thinking, creating, remembering, imagining, or solving something. That became Sketch & Speed: 🧠 Think — memory, logic and spatial challenges 🎨 Create — drawing and imagination activities ⭐ Earn — XP, badges and Play Credits 🏎️ Play — use those credits for short, finite games like Turbo Track, Moto Dash and Space Dash 🪙 Or Save — keep the credits for later There are also Screen-Free Challenges (go find five circle-shaped objects at home — a parent confirms it, then the reward is recorded) and a Parent Control Center for daily goals, game-time limits, bedtime / quiet hours, and which games and categories are on. What I enjoyed most wasn't the technology. It was treating two kids like product stakeholders. They described the experience they wanted. I translated it into requirements, built it, put it in front of them, watched what worked and what didn't, and iterated. Pretty much product development — just with much more direct stakeholders. 😄 Deliberately NOT in it: ads, loot boxes, public leaderboards, child-to-child messaging, public child profiles, child email addresses, or real-money purchases from Child Mode.
