@error23_ in case you're not relying on automatic file versions by os, it is safe.At this moment I can't find a better way to deal with it. Any ideas are quite welcome.

@minikin I am relying on automatic file versioning and this deletes ALL revisions of ALL files. You should at least warn users about this. It has nothing to do with Caches at all, so misleading.

@jmsuth @oparenko I've been using sketch cache cleaner, and I must say it's speeding up my sketch. But the only issue i'm getting is it's even removing my local/global sketch color swatches :( is there a way to retain them?

@minikin @fpocha It looks like it deletes every revision of every file on your computer. NOT just sketch. WTF... And now it looks like i can't create revisions going forward.

@minikin @stephenmarklevi Yes it's done that for me as well. I had to do a time machine restore to get my Keynote and Pages revisions back. @rrhoover please pull this deceiving piece of software - it doesn't clear caches, it DELETES all revisions and turns them off. Devs - make it clear what exactly you're doing to our data before you delete it irrevocably. This is incredibly irresponsible software.

@stephenmarklevi you can re-enable revisions by pasting this command in Terminal: defaults write -app sketch ApplePersistence -bool yes

@minikin no I didn’t, why would I? it’s not on your website, and your app doesn’t warn me before it tells me it will delete a “Sketch Cache” which is NOT what it did. Sketch stores it’s cache files in ~/Library/Caches like every other app - you’re actually deleting it’s revision files. NOT the same thing by any means. I see you are well-intentioned but please rename your app to “Apple Revision Disabler” and give a proper warning of what it will do to a user’s files and revisions.

Here is the copy about and within the app "Sketch Cache Cleaner" "Deletes hidden Sketch history files." "Sketch.Cache.Cleaner.app.zip" "Sketch Cache Cleaner is an app that deletes hidden Sketch history files" "Find out your Sketch Cache size" "Your Sketch cache is cleared!" @rrhover this app shouldn't be promoted on this site as is. Nothing about the app, it's installation, or use, indicated anything in that README. No Warning before confirmation "This isn't just for sketch files it's for every file."

@stephenmarklevi Stephen, we are very sorry about that and we will soon release the updated version of the app that's more explicit. Rebooting your computer should allow you to create new revisions for your programs.
