Reviews praise Sagekit’s chat-driven automation for simplicity and speed, with many noting that non-technical users can set up workflows easily. Users highlight that the AI connects apps, configures logic, handles errors, and supports on-demand or scheduled runs. The per-run pricing is seen as transparent and cost-effective versus action-based models. Some feedback flags occasional setup friction or getting “stuck” during onboarding. Overall sentiment: versatile integrations (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Notion, Slack), smoother than traditional tools, and a strong fit for productivity-focused teams seeking low-friction automation.

Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Tom, founder of Sidekick.
We built Sidekick because even with computer science degrees, my co-founder and I were still overwhelmed by the complexity of the Zapier/Make.com/n8n interfaces. It's like learning a new language.
With Sidekick, you simply chat in the window on the left and a full workflow is generated on your behalf. All complexity - API integrations, loops, conditionals, error handling - is handled under the hood. On the canvas on the right we present a visual, read-only representation of your workflow. All building and editing happens in the chat in natural language.
It can handle simple workflows like copying content from Gmail to Google Sheets every morning, or more complex workflows like scraping prospect's company URLs and summarizing them with AI before every sales call.
We see Sidekick as a much simpler alternative to Zapier/Make.com/n8n, while still retaining the full power to build complicated workflows. If you're someone who has stared at those interfaces with a blank face, or even someone who understands them but is tired of fighting them for hours to build your workflow, you should try Sidekick. The drastically increased ease of use should enable teams to move much quicker, more automations to be built than ever before, and for increased accessibility in who can build automations!
Next up on the roadmap is triggers, along with more and more integrations every week. Coming soon: Attio, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Mixpanel, and Amplitude.

@tom_greenwald Congrats on the launch! The natural language approach to building workflows is brilliant - finally an automation tool that doesn't require a computer science degree to use!
Sagekit
@tom_greenwald @kay_arkain Appreciate it Kay!
Sagekit
@kay_arkain Thank you Kay! And yes - computer science degree finally optional
Scade.pro
@tom_greenwald congrats on the launch. looks quite simple to use. and your logo, sooo cute
Sagekit
@tom_greenwald @nastassia_k Thanks Nastassia :) We like to think the cursor eyes look a bit like sunglasses.. anyway hope you give it a try!
Sagekit
@nastassia_k Haha glad you like it Nastassia! We wanted him to look nice and approachable 😁
@tom_greenwald great

looks neat! love the neobrutalist style. is it possible to update the nodes after AI creates them? wasn't super clear from the demo.
also cool that you use Autumn, i saw them launch here recently and thought it was a great idea / execution!
Sagekit
@catt_marroll Thanks! Spent a lot of time on the design 😁. And yes - you can easily edit via chat. Just specify any changes you want to make. You don't edit the nodes on the canvas directly, the canvas is just a visual representation of your workflow. Do you think we could make that more clear?
And yes, shoutout Autumn - made billing super easy
My Financé
@tom_greenwald gotcha! i guess as a somewhat technical user it's interesting to not be able to edit nodes explicitly, but maybe that wouldnt actually wind up being a problem in practice.
ill keep this in mind next time i have a small automation to build and give it a shot :)
thanks for the reply and congrats on launching!
Sagekit
@tom_greenwald @catt_marroll Yeah we're still discovering what makes exactly the right UX here - but so far it seems like people find the experience of chatting practical for bigger changes but also for small edits. Would love to get your thoughts as well once you have a chance to try it!
Autumn
Incredibly powerful tool. I remember spending hours at my last company setting up weird automations either by code or with Zapier. Sidekick just one shots them...
Sagekit
@ay_ush Let's go!! That's what we like to see. Feel free to reach out with any feedback :)
Sagekit
@ay_ush That's the goal! Now we just have to increase the number of apps that you can one-shot automations for
Sidekick is an exceptional product by what I can only imagine is an exceptional team. I love automating workflows at my day job and Sidekick just made me massively more productive. Go Sidekick!!!!
Sagekit
@roman_shemet3 Thank you Mr. Roman! I am glad that your day is a lot more streamlined and productive now :)
Sagekit
@roman_shemet3 Thanks Roman! Cactus integ asap

Are there limitations to only using the integrations that have been set up in advance? Or can I add an integration for any SaaS that has an API? If there's something I want to integrate, can I search to find out if it's possible?
The UX is awesome. It's really engaging.
You basically made Lindy.ai and all other no-code automation companies obselote!
My question: this is a really crowded space e.g. I see at least 5 companies out of every YC batch doing this. How do you intend to rise above the noiss?
YouMind
I really like Sidekick's interface, it feels retro and also makes the workflow-building process visual, which is super user-friendly. I'd love to automate my content creation workflows and will definitely give it a try! @Sidekick
Sagekit
@nicoleastor Thanks Nicole! We pride ourselves on our interface :) definitely would be curious to hear how those content creation workflows go! Are there are any apps in particular you'd want to use with Sidekick to enable that?
