It's todo list crossed with a game to help parents get their kids ready for school without all the chaos. Get ready quickly. Teach independence and organizational skills. Start your day happy and calm. Enjoy your family mornings.
👋 Hey Hunters!
So I’m a dad with 3 kids and I was annoyed by the fact that at work I have dozens of powerful tools to organise and manage my team. But at home to get the kids ready for school, I have nothing. It was chaos. So I thought… why not build a todo list for kids? I could make the UX look like a game and even embed gamification design elements to help keep kids focussed and engaged.
I made an initial version and we tested it out every morning getting the kids ready for school. Every day became a design iteration. The whole family would come up with ideas and make suggestions.
I think it turned out awesome, there's really nothing else quite like it. Now the kids get ready for school in ~30% of the time with 95% less nagging. (Yes I measured ;)
So in a small, but very real way, this app has changed our lives. I released it on the App Store, Google Play and the web because I hope it will help other families as well.
So if you have kid(s) to get ready for school in the morning, definitely check it out. If you download it in the next 3 days you'll even get it for free. :)
Please let me know what you think. There's nothing I love more than hearing from parents who come up with cool feature suggestions, point out problems I didn't notice, or even just want to say hi.

I don't have kids, but I still like this app! I think some adults need something like that too :D And I'd have been glad if I had such an app when I was a child - I hated mornings back then.
@julia_shandrokha good point! Why don’t todo lists for grownups have animations, sounds and play a cat gif when you’re done for the day. I don’t have an answer.

This is really cool! Congrats on the launch. I think even adults could use this on a Monday morning :))
Hey Chris! I LOVE this idea!! 😍 I also love that you could iterate with your in-house “early adopters” 😂 I’ll be testing it out and sharing it with my network 🙂
@flying_hacker Awesome thanks! Yeah honestly every pixel was carefully designed and iterated on. And a surprising number of ideas came from the kids themselves! Hope you enjoy it. 😀
Hello,
Dad of 3 girsl here ( 7yo, 4yo, 6months) !
Is it chaos everyday, maybe :D
It's a nice idea. but honestly, I prefer to print something like images you show us
And put it on my fridge, that my children could see, respect rules and check when "tasks" are done.
And absoluty not use a tablet or phone for this.
Too much screen is not good, and directly in the morning it's a NOGO.
I authorize my children to watch some screen in the day of course, with our generation it's a bit complicated to avoid at all screens.
My children would love your app I guess.
As a parent, like I said, it's a no go
The same thing but as a product or numerical product (that we could print) would be greater.
I think I would prefre maybe a box with pages/images or whatever, that I receive once/month
Hope I helped you with my feedback :)
Edit: In my opinion we should not use technology to avoid problem, that could be resolve with just a simple talk or mini-game irl :)
And I promess I'm not a parent like "Screens are devils for my children blablabla, they eat only bio, free gluten blabla" ^^'
@nicolasr_z Hey thanks for the comment, and glad to hear you enjoy gluten :). Yeah you make an interesting point. As parents we've really struggled over the years to find a balance with how much screen time to give our kids too.
(I'm about to wander off into a chat that has nothing to do with the product but you raised a point I'm wrestling with as well)
We've tended to flip back and forth with screen time. It's a real challenge and remember we are actually the first generation of parents to deal with this. So there are no well established rules, we're all figuring it out as we go.
At the moment my wife and I are trying to find a balance where the kids use screens as one small part of a well rounded life. They do well at school, play outside, have friends and do sport. So it's ok to relax sometimes using devices. As grownups that's how we try to live our lives, so I think it's ok for kids to live their lives like that too. But I'm no authority and don't have all the answers.
But back to School Morning Routine, we've never had a problem with the kids because it's not a game, just a tool to help them stay organised. But if you want to go analog there's heaps of good options. Just go on pinterest and search for chore chart download-ables and you'll find piles of free ones. Some people also use magnet boards and stuff, so it's a fun area to explore.
Thanks for the comment, and good luck :)
This is sooo clever!! Would have done competitions with my siblings every morning, for sure. And my mom would have stressed less ahah

Hi! My children are already going to school. But remembering the period of preparation for school and the beginning of their studies, I can't help but note that such an application would be useful to me.
I am glad for the parents who are just going to send their children to school!
Good luck!
