It's been a while since launch and SchemaChat has grown into something bigger than what I originally posted, so I wanted to come back and say what's changed.
When I launched this, the pitch was "ask your database in plain English." That's still in there — but it's not really how analysts work, and I knew it, because I was one for ten years. Nobody ever asked me one question. They gave me a goal. "Find out why margin dropped."
So that's what SchemaChat does now. You hand it a goal, it plans the investigation, runs each step as a real query against your live data, and comes back with what it found. You can watch it think and redirect it halfway through — the same way you'd lean over an analyst's desk.
The part I care about most is what it won't do. Every number links to the query that produced it — no query ran, no number ships. If your data can't answer the question, it tells you which column is missing instead of guessing. That rule lives in code, not in a prompt, because after a decade of watching wrong numbers land in board decks, "confidently wrong" scares me more than "no answer."
Since launch we've also put the product through two independent QA testers who ran it through 150+ checks across four rounds — and we fixed essentially everything they found. The answers that ship today are the most trustworthy this product has ever been.
Also new: put any finding on watch and it re-runs on a schedule, alerting you when a number crosses a line. Auto-dashboards now compute real metrics (actual revenue, not proxies) straight from your source.
Still read-only by construction, still AES-256 on credentials, still free to start — and the PHLAUNCH code (3 months of Pro free) still works.
