I have had a safety wing for three months now and I love it. It was incredibly easy to submit a claim through the website; also the pre-authorization for an MRI at the hospital was approved within one day! One of the things I tell people most is how impressed I am with the responsive customer service. The chat function is extremely useful especially for someone who works in multiple time zones and I don't like sitting on the phone, and also going through all the prompts. The chats are continuous and saved and also sent through email, so you can respond at your leisure (the reps don't close out your conversation just because you left the web-chat). I was very impressed with the chat-email seamless integration and how helpful the Reps are (Shout out to Kara!). Also, for the product itself - the coverage is very sufficient! I am impressed enough to where I got 2 other friends to sign up as well (no incentives) because it's hard to find great health insurance for digital nomads!

I was looking for flexible insurance as a digital nomad. Safety Wing looked great. I signed up, 2 months went smoothly, 3rd month payment failed... So I thought no problem, I'll contact them to renew... got in touch... nope, not possible to renew... I have to take a new policy. OK, so I'll take a new policy.. wait, what.. there's a 20% increase in price. That's OK, I'm sure customer service will be understanding. Nope. No renewal, no nothing, who cares about existing customers when you're beasting a hefty price increase. Unethical, not understanding. Never again will I recommend Safety Wing. Unethical, greedy company.

I've been using Safety Wing (Remote Health plan) for over 4 years and it's the best company perk we have. The claim system is easy and smooth and the reimbursement comes back quickly. You get the best care when you are sick and in need, but it also helps you take care of your general health with complementary therapies!

It’s not worth the high deductible, there are better options out there. They asked for official translations of my medical reports and then wouldn’t pay out because of the deductible fine print - sort of defeats the purpose.

They helped me with my insurance claim while in Japan!" It was very easy enrolling and I was able to set a specific time when I needed the travel insurance which was awesome. I was like every person searching online finding a "travel insurance" for my family of 4 and took a chance on using it on our trip to SouthEast Asia & Australia as well as Japan. Most definitely the customer service team was prompt in communicating with me when I needed help and questions and I'm glad I used this when my daughter ended up in a hospital overseas! Thank you safety wing !!

I really love the simple and intuitive way of submitting claims/ Compared to my previous experience with local insurance company, a minimum of information is needed here and all my claims where approved. I find the SafetyWing very convenient and reliable.

Do not hire this insurance. They are just going to steal your money. I paid it for 3 months in Asia and had a couple of medical issues, and they said they are not going to reimburse it. They are a scam.

The system is intuitive, the insurance works well, you can always count on the support team. Highly recommended!
