Run With Zombies is a free, browser-based survival game that uses your real GPS location. Open the link, allow GPS, and zombies start spawning around you on a live map. The only way to survive is to get up and move. No app download required.

I built Run With Zombies because I am kinda of lazy so I wanted an xtra incentive to run.
The idea is simple: open the game, allow GPS, and a zombie horde spawns around your real location. The only way to survive is to keep moving.
It's visual-first, you see zombies on a live map, but your phone also vibrates and plays audio cues when they get too close, so you're not glued to the screen the whole time.
It's completely free, no app to download, no account needed, just open the link and run.

genuinely love that it just throws you into the map the second GPS locks in, no menus, no tutorial popups. feels like they actually trusted the idea to carry itself.
Thanks @ekrem1698809 Ekrem! That was very intentional, I wanted to trust the core idea to carry itself. No tutorials, no menus, no popups. Just GPS lock and you're in. People learn by playing, and the first-session retention is noticeably better without that friction.
Love the no-download GPS concept, super cool twist on an endless runner. One thing that would make it way more fun: team up with nearby players in real time so you can see your friends on the map and warn each other when zombies are closing in. It would turn solo runs into spontaneous local meetups without needing to set anything up first.
Thanks @baharzlej Bahar! That's actually the direction I'm heading, real-time multiplayer is the next big piece. The idea is exactly what you described: see nearby friends on the map, ping each other when zombies are closing in, maybe even share loot or revive each other. Solo runs become impromptu meetups with zero setup. Still cooking, but 100% on the roadmap 🔥
the no-download browser approach is honestly super smart for something like this, lowers the barrier a lot. love that you basically turn any neighborhood walk into a game without needing to commit to an app first.
Thanks @glayzocakmtug ! That was honestly the whole point, I wanted anyone to try it without installing anything, just open the link and go. Low friction is everything here. You're walking, zombies show up, and suddenly you're playing. And since it's a PWA, if people want to install later they can, but they don't have to.
