Ruleset is the no-code decision rule designer for financial firms. We enable risk, legal, finance, and marketing teams to set rules for who gets a loan (or other financial products) and integrate them into their apps with one line of code.

I’m super excited to show Ruleset’s no-code functionality to each of my non-technical banking friends who run underwriting teams at a credit union and a midsize-regional bank!
Hello! This is Logan, co-founder of Ruleset.
Ruleset is the decision-as-a-service for lenders. Risk and legal teams use Ruleset’s drag-and-drop interface to design decision workflows which engineers can integrate with one line of code.
My cofounder Zheng and I met in 2016 working at a Series A internet-of-things startup. Since then, Zheng has worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Cruise specializing in machine learning workflows. I joined a public financial firm as the product lead for their new digital consumer lending business.
It was at this lender that I experienced the pain of building an underwriting process. The policies that determine who qualifies for a loan or not are determined by multiple departments (credit, compliance, finance, and operations). But we had to rely on engineers to code these complex rules. The handoff between departments resulted in us issuing bad loans, exposing us to financial losses and regulatory risks.
The non-tech teams asked for an app where they could manage the decision process themselves without coding. After looking for a solution and not finding one that fit our needs, Zheng and I set out to build the easiest-to-use platform for teams to build their own automated decision logic!
Neat idea - I worked on something very similar inside of Better.com
One thing you should definitely consider is some kind of "link out" back to the definition or document describing a particular rule. In my experience, I found that underwriting guidelines mostly changed as a result of document changes (the long-term dream would be of course to have them updated in a tool like yours), so having that relationship between the structured rule and the original document source is critical for long-term maintenance of a decision engine.
