I’m Ivan, the CTO of Routewise.
Routewise was born out of frustration with existing trip planning tools. I’ve planned a lot of trips, and I noticed that the vast majority of my friends and family (myself included) were still trying to organize their vacations out of Google Maps or a messy Excel spreadsheet. On top of that, I had countless places saved on my TikTok and Instagram, but actually extracting those spots and getting them into a cohesive itinerary was a hassle.
Trip planning apps like Wanderlog and TripIt exist, but to me, they've always felt clunky, slow, or just hard to use. They often come with bloated interfaces that make planning feel more like a chore than the exciting preamble to a vacation.
That’s why we built Routewise. We wanted to strip away the friction and build a platform that actually works the way modern travelers research and plan.

• Bucket Lists: Save places you discover online and instantly convert them into a ready-to-go itinerary whenever you decide to book those flights.
Our approach evolved a lot along the way. We started by building the website - that was where our pain points originated. However, because travel is inherently on-the-go, we knew a native app experience was critical. We launched our iOS app a few months ago to ensure your optimized plans are always right in your pocket while exploring.
