I just wanted to be able to ask Claude questions (event with my mobile phone) about anything, any doc that is on my PC at home. Especially without spending millions of tokens on it.
I tried embeddings, but that means, information is lost. Summaries often aren't keeping the details I need. So a different solution must be made.
That's where I met RLM, the recursive language model. Think of it like you as a human are searching some detail of a research you are doing. You go into a library, first you take a look at the index to see which books may contain relevant infos. Then you get the books, read their summaries and then you take a look at the articles inside of the books. That's how RootMind works.
The results are precise and don't miss any relevant informations or numbers.
The second thing is that I am really finished with that useless Windows Search, doing indexing for hours and any search for anything doesn't find what I need.
The best is it works on windows or linux. (MacOS contribution would be very welcome!) It has a commandline version and even runs on a raspberry pi (you can share it running as a server somewhere).
Try it out, it's open source and please, star it on github :)
