Roomia

Find your kinda roommate

7 followers

Roomia helps you find compatible roommates, not just vacant rooms. Unlike listing-heavy platforms, Roomia matches people based on lifestyle preferences like sleep schedule, cleanliness, smoking, pets, and guests—along with budget and location. You swipe, see a compatibility score, and chat only after a mutual match. Built for people, not brokers.

Hi, I’m Karan, founder of Roomia.

Most roommate platforms focus on listings, rent, and photos—but in real life, shared homes break because of lifestyle mismatch. Sleep schedules, cleanliness, guests, pets, smoking—these things matter after you move in, and they’re barely captured upfront.

Roomia flips the model. You create a simple lifestyle profile, see a compatibility score, swipe to match, and chat only after mutual interest. No brokers, no spam, no awkward cold DMs. You can even find compatible roommates before choosing a flat.

This is an early launch and I’m actively learning. I’d love feedback on:
• What lifestyle signals matter most to you
• Whether compatibility scores actually help decision-making
• What would stop you from using something like this

Memesh

This is actually needed. Also, can I use this if I don’t have a flat yet and just want to find someone to search together?

@me_meoneeze We are planning to roll out seeker to seeker matching using their lifestyle and other preferences soon. We'll notify you as soon as it is launched. Stay connected and looking for more feedback. :) Thanks!!

Finding a compatible roommate is always a struggle, so I’m curious to see how this works. Will check it out.

@priyanshi_sharma4 Appreciate it!

We focus heavily on lifestyle signals like sleep schedule, cleanliness, guests, and smoking — that’s usually where conflicts start. Would love to hear your thoughts once you try it.
