Small maker update, not a launch post, just a bug I'm glad I caught.
Shipped the achievement unlock celebration (confetti, glow, chime) a couple of weeks ago. Then noticed a user's streak achievements briefly reverted to locked, then quietly re-unlocked themselves. No errors, just quietly wrong.
Turned out unlockAchievements() was firing from three different places (dashboard, roast endpoint, check-in) with no locking, so overlapping writes clobbered each other. Fixed with compare-and-swap instead of a blind overwrite, verified against the real DB, not a mock.
Also shipped real Web Push in the same stretch: one-tap opt-in, daily nudge written in roast my life's own voice from each user's real data, not a generic "come back!" blast.
love the no-signup angle and the report card format is genuinely clever. one thing that would make me actually come back: add a streak or weekly check-in where i can see if my Life Score improved after the roast, because right now it feels like a one-shot joke and i'd want some accountability built in.
@cemraca51348 100% agree, we actually have weekly tracking and Life Score history built in! You can see your score trend over time on the dashboard. Working on making the streak system more prominent so it's the first thing you see when you come back. Accountability mode is coming in Pro 🔥 Thanks for the feedback; this is exactly what we're building toward!
honestly this sounds hilarious, the report card idea is genuinely clever and i can already see people posting it everywhere. one thing though, it would be cool if you could compare your roast against friends who also took the quiz, like a little leaderboard for who's actually got their life together the least
@arif867371 haha thank you, that means a lot and honestly... You basically just described the feature I've been wanting to build since day one. A friend leaderboard for "who's got their life together the least" is such a good way to put it, way better than how I'd been describing it internally. Not in the app yet, but you've officially convinced me to bump it up the list. Would you actually use it if we shipped it?
