ResolveTime is a macOS app that automatically tracks your working time per DaVinci Resolve project — no manual timers. It detects the active project, logs your hours, and pauses when you're idle, so freelance editors can bill every real hour. All data stays local on your Mac.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Julian, a freelance video editor.
My problem was never the editing — it was remembering to start a timer. I'd finish a project and guess my hours, almost always rounding down. Those forgotten 20 minutes here and there add up to serious money over a year.
I tried normal time trackers, but I always forgot to hit start/stop, so they were useless for me.
So I built ResolveTime: it runs in the background, detects which DaVinci Resolve project is active, and logs your time per project automatically. It pauses when you're idle, and everything stays local on your Mac.
Now I bill for the hours I actually worked, instead of underselling myself out of forgetfulness. There's a 7-day free trial (no card) — I'd genuinely love feedback, especially from editors: does the automatic per-project tracking match how you actually work?
(An iPhone companion that also tracks the drive + on-location shoot is coming soon.)
