Hi Piotr — glad you you liked it!
We assess companies by asking them to select the values that best represent their culture, and ranking them. You can learn a lot just by which values they select (and which ones they leave out), and how they rank the ones they *do* select.
Then we have an in-depth interview with a Head of People or Head of Recruitment at that company, where we explore each value in a lot more detail and specifically how that value converts into action on an everyday basis, and what the employee experience of that value is like.
So our goal with that interview is to take each value and make it really concrete and tangible, to give job applicants a better sense of what it'd be like to work at that company.
Really love this concept, @javrodriguez_, and I think it'll help a lot of companies and prospective hires find talent and opportunities that are better aligned than perhaps ones they'd find on other job boards.
I don't have data to support this, just my observation and experience: It seems like for some of the best jobs below executive level don't even get listed. Or, even if there is a listing, employers defer to hiring internally or by referral first (which makes sense to me from an employer standpoint).
For great talent that invests time and energy into this platform, are there any assurances/standard practices you're holding the employer side to as far as getting back to people who apply for opportunities with them?
Hi Melissa — great question! The short answer is we're not there yet, but it's definitely a direction we'd like to explore.
At the moment we're focused on providing job seekers with rich and detailed information about a company's values and culture, to give them a tangible sense of what it'd be like to work there and whether that company could be a good culture fit or not.
But eventually we'd like to play a more active role in between job applicants and companies, and find ways to add value to both sides. I think a big part of this would be helping job applicants to present themselves in a way that highlights their value attributes and potential culture fit with the company they're applying to.
Maybe you'll see more of this in the future when we launch Remotefit 2.0 on Product Hunt! :)
This is really great! Been in this space for a while. In fact built our own tool that looks at personality, but culture is as difficult. I love that you've looked at the different elements of culture and specifically with remote contributors. Great work! Is there any way that you could share a little bit about the scientific underpinning or how the matching in fact works (e.g., any theories etc.)?
Hi Salih — thanks for the reply! Right now, we're leaving the "science" of a great match in the hands of job applicants.
Typically, you don't learn much about a company's values and culture until you're further down the recruitment process. You might have to go through interviews with a recruiter before you get to meet managers or employees that you'd actually end up collaborating with. And it's a shame when you begin an application process and then realize this isn't really a company you'd like to work that.
We're trying to fix this by providing job applicants with rich, detailed insights about a company's values and culture. Once they have that information, they'll have a much better sense of whether this is a company they'd like to apply to or not.

Super excited to see something like this! I have run a remote company for several years and this looks to be super beneficial. Great work!
Really excited about what @javrodriguez_ and @poralejo have built here — creating high-quality, high-touch profiles for remote-first companies that you can filter based on your personal values. Especially now that remote work is becoming more the norm than the exception and the best talent can choose to work for companies that reflect their values as people, this is a well-timed, well-designed product!
Hi Alex, that's a great question!
I'd say yes — a cohesive remote culture is what allows diverse teammates, all around the world, to communicate and collaborate effectively. Without it, it'll be difficult to do great work as a team. So remote cultures are essentially value-driven cultures.
And perhaps this doesn't apply to ALL remote companies, but it definitely applies those that have built incredible remote cultures. These are the companies we'll showcase on Remotefit! 🏆
