It all started when I chose to implement a web-based desktop for an EPFL postgraduate course here in Switzerland, and nothing Iโd call commercial-grade came out of it. Thanks, finally someone has noticed :) To me Qworum is the Web for applications, it's a Web variant that I'm calling "The Service Web". So, what is the current Web, then? Glad you asked: to me the current Web is "The Document Web"; it is still fundamentally a content platform and not really an application platform, and that, despite JavaScript.

I'd say Qworum is more of a ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ for running applications and APIs than a tool. In terms of tooling, Qworum has a VS Code extension for authoring Qworum scripts in XML format, but using it is optional.

This means that building Web-scale distributed applications is very easy; just mix and match as many Qworum APIs as you wish!
