Hey everyone 👋
I'm Christopher, and I built QwikSprint because I had multiple short stories and novellas stuck at 50-60% for longer than I care to admit.
The problem wasn't ideas or brainstorming. It was sitting down and actually writing.
I kept reading about timed sprints helping people push through. So I tried them and they worked. But every app I found was either too bloated, subscription-based, or required an account for no reason.
So I built the tool I wanted:
Timed sprints with word count tracking
Streaks/Badges (simple "don't break the chain" motivation)
Creative prompts with selectable difficulty levels
Challenge modes — dialogue-only scenes, fish-out-of-water scenarios
Session history to revisit drafts
No account. No ads.
I built it with a combination of Claude Terminal and VS Code. I'm happy to answer questions about the build or the features.
Curious: what actually helps you sit down and write? Looking to learn what works for other people, so I can update the app with new quality of life features.
