Quietly is a free, private collection of tools for journaling, saving memories, releasing worries and reflecting on life. There are no feeds, followers or social metrics. Begin with 25 Things to Feel, a set of hand-drawn human moments that unfold as you write. Your words remain on your device and are not stored in a database.
Love how offline and private this feels, especially the local storage approach. One thing that would make it stickier for me is optional end-to-end encrypted sync so I can keep journaling across my phone and laptop without giving up the no-cloud ethos. Even just a simple passphrase unlock to sync between my own devices would feel right at home with the rest of the design.
@muratkethd91648 That makes a lot of sense. I already use optional encrypted sync in Memoir, and in Invoice Studio, which unlocks on day 7, so people can continue across their phone and laptop. For Life Glance, I kept everything strictly on-device because it feels like one of the most personal tools in Quietly. But if more people ask for it, I would gladly add an optional passphrase-based sync that keeps the same privacy-first approach.
Love the privacy-first approach and the hand-drawn moments are a really sweet touch. One thing that would help me stick with it: an optional weekly export to PDF so I can archive my entries offline or share them with a therapist later, all without ever touching your servers.

I built 22 private browser tools, but maintaining 12 languages is beginning to scare me
Quietly started as a small set of private, local-first tools. It now supports 12 languages, and I am beginning to understand the hidden maintenance cost.
Every new feature means checking labels, mobile layouts, fallbacks, onboarding and edge cases across every locale.
For other solo makers working internationally: did localisation become a genuine growth advantage, or did you eventually reduce the number of languages you supported?
I would love to hear how you decide which languages deserve continued investment.

@ygensi1982 yes I do plan to add more ways to explore emotions - this was the brighter side of things - life throws good bad and ugly things too - but reflecting over it helps us to understand - what we could have done better - thanks a lot for dropping by and sharing your experiences - please share with other friends family

love how everything stays on my device, no accounts or syncing headaches. the 25 hand-drawn prompts felt genuinely thoughtful and got me writing in a way most journal apps never do.
@tanerklnamvsz6 yes your data is always yours - wish more tools appreciated our privacy. Please do explore the tools more - there are lots of tools - some are meant to be of daily use. My laptop is in repairs lot of things are still pending - I will update them as soon as I grab it back. Thanks a lot for dropping by and sharing your experiences
