Pruner shows every subscription and your real monthly total, and reminds you before each charge. No ads, no nagging – and the essentials are free forever. Pro is optional and only adds extras. It's the subscription tracker you don't actually have to subscribe to.

Hey hunters 👋
I'm Andrew, a solo maker – Pruner is the first app from my studio, avebrax.
I kept forgetting which subscriptions I was even paying for. But every tracker I tried was its own kind of annoying: ads everywhere, basic features locked behind a paywall, or – the irony – you had to subscribe to track your subscriptions.
So I built the opposite:
🌿 No ads. No nagging. The essentials are free – forever.
• See every subscription + your real monthly & yearly total
• Reminders before every charge, and before free trials end
• Insights, spend calendar, multiple currencies, Face ID lock
Pro is completely optional – it only adds power-user extras (multiple accounts per service, trial tracking, deeper insights, custom icons). You never pay to keep the core.
That's the whole idea behind avebrax: "stop slop" – genuinely useful apps, no dark patterns, no ad assault. Pruner is the first.
I'd love your honest feedback – and the most ridiculous subscription you forgot you were paying for 😅
(Bonus: it's private by design – everything stays on your phone, no account needed.)

Love the no-nonsense approach and the free essentials. One thing that would help me: let me set a custom alert window like 3, 7, or 14 days before each renewal so I can match it to my billing cycle instead of being stuck with whatever default reminder you pick.
@enginsule30242 Thank you – that genuinely means a lot 🙏
Flexible, per-subscription reminders were a must for exactly that reason: your billing cycles are yours, not ours to force a default on.
There's a related update on the way too — you'll be able to pick the time of day reminders arrive (Settings → Notification time), not just how many days before.
If there's anything else you'd want in a future update, I'd love to hear it – feedback like yours is what shapes where Pruner goes next 🌿
Been looking for something like this for a while, the no-subscription angle is refreshing. One thing that would make it stick for me is a quick yearly summary card showing how much I actually spent on subs in the past 12 months, kind of a wake up call view right at the top.
@apehivan7227 Thank you – "refreshing" is exactly what we're going for 🙏
And honestly, that's a great idea. A yearly "here's what subscriptions actually cost you" card is the kind of wake-up call this app exists for. We're adding it to the roadmap – a 12-month summary view is coming in a future update.
Keep the ideas coming, this is exactly the feedback that shapes Pruner 🌿
