Hi Product Hunt, maker here. Prolaud started with a spreadsheet I am still slightly embarrassed about. We were running online classes with four tools taped together: a video tool for the class, payment links pasted into WhatsApp, a Google Sheet to track who had actually paid, and a design tool to make the certificate at the end. Every single month somebody's name fell through the gap between two of those tools. So we built the thing we kept wishing existed. You schedule a live class and teach it in the browser. The recording files itself into the course instead of sitting in a folder. Students buy from a storefront on your own domain, not from a marketplace page sitting next to nine competitors. Enrolment, attendance, progress and the certificate all hang off the same student record, so there is nothing to reconcile. Then there is the part we argued about the longest: 0% commission. Payments settle into your own Razorpay account and we charge for the plan, never for the sale. Sell a Rs 5,000 course, keep Rs 5,000. It is deliberately modular. The core is teaching and selling. Degree programs, proctored exams and academic records are plugins you switch on the day you turn into a school, not clutter you pay for in week one. Built for the tutor running 40 students out of a WhatsApp group, and for the institute that needs real academic records. Free to start. One thing I would actually like to know from this crowd, because it decides what we build next: if you teach anything online, which tool in your stack would you drop tomorrow if something else absorbed it?

Live cohorts or recorded courses: which one pays your bills?

Prolaud started with live teaching because that's what we were doing ourselves. Recorded courses came second.

My guess at the trade-off: live gets better completion and lets you charge more, but it eats your evenings. Recorded scales, but people buy it and never open it.

Tell me where I'm wrong. If you do both, what's the split for you right now? And if you had to drop one, which goes?

We launch on Tuesday. Tell me what's confusing before strangers do.

Prolaud goes live on Product Hunt on 6 October. Before that I'd like a few honest eyes on it.

prolaud.com is open. If you have two minutes, open it cold and tell me the first thing that made you hesitate. A word you didn't get, a page that loaded slowly, a price that felt off. Small stuff counts.

If you teach online, which tool in your stack would you drop tomorrow?

Not rhetorical. I am trying to decide what we build next and I would rather ask than guess.
