This is not a Slack competitor. It is a workforce communications tool, like Zinc, Red E App, Sitrion One, and Avaamo. They have chat-like interfaces, but not like IRC chat; more like Whatsapp. These tools are targeted at companies with large deskless workforces -- people doing 'hard' work -- not the desk workers doing 'soft' work in the office.

Interesting. When Microsoft isn't acquiring (and integrating) apps that are doing well (i.e. Sunrise -> Outlook), they seem to be replicating them (i.e. Microsoft Flow / Pix / Planner and now this one).
I'm really not sure how this is a competitor to slack. Looks like it's more focused on the problems associated with frontline employee scheduling than managing chat feeds.
