Hi everyone 👋 We built this because reading doctors’ prescriptions is something we have all struggled with at some point. Whether you are a patient, a pharmacist, or building in healthcare, messy handwriting makes things unnecessarily difficult. When we tried existing OCR tools, they did not work well for this use case. They struggled with handwritten text and medical terms, and the output was often not usable. So we took a different approach. Instead of relying only on traditional OCR, we used LLMs to better understand and interpret prescriptions. This helped us go beyond just reading text and actually convert it into clean, structured JSON. One of the biggest challenges was handling different handwriting styles and medical abbreviations. It took a lot of iteration to make the output reliable and useful in real scenarios. We are excited to share this with the community and would love your feedback.
