Hey Product Hunt
I'm Abhishek — a cloud architect. I built Potato because I kept hitting the same wall.
Every time I designed a system, I had 10 tabs open: the diagram tool in one, AWS docs in another, cost calculator in a third, runbook in Confluence. None of it stayed in sync. The moment I shared the diagram in a design review, the first question was always "what's the SLA on RDS Multi-AZ?" — back to the tabs.
So I built everything into the diagram itself.
Here's what Potato does that nothing else does:
Hover any service node → SLA, hard limits, common production pitfalls, cost (52 services documented)
Hit ▶ Play → the architecture narrates itself step by step with architect-level reasoning
Click 💰 Cost → per-service monthly breakdown at Small/Medium/Large scale
Download → a plain-text runbook from the flow, ready for your PR or Confluence
Describe your system in English to any LLM → paste back → editable diagram in 15 seconds
The whole thing is one HTML file. No server, no account, no dependencies, works fully offline. Email it to someone — they double-click it and interact with the diagram without installing anything.
Save as HTML. Attach to Confluence. Your team gets a fully interactive diagram — hover tooltips, Play flow, cost estimator — without installing anything.
What I'd love feedback on:
Does the AI import workflow feel smooth or clunky?
What services are missing from the knowledge base?
What would make you actually use this over draw.io or Lucidchart?
