Most meeting tools try to do everything — calendar sync, transcription, AI summaries, collaboration layers. Popouts is intentionally minimal. It focuses on what matters: what is this meeting about, what did we discuss, and what are my action items. It lives inside Chrome, so there’s no context switching. AI is used only where it adds value — to extract action items from your notes automatically. Built for busy individuals who want clarity without another complex meeting platform.

I have been working for about two decades and have tried every kind of notes tool — from pen and paper to modern AI tools. They were either too simple (no structure) or too complicated. Both never really worked for me.
Over time, I noticed most of my meetings across companies were of just three types: 1:1s, recurring meetings, and ad-hoc discussions. You typically have only a handful active at any time. If it is more than that, we probably need to rethink how we are working.
For these meetings, it always came down to three things:
– What is the agenda (what I wanted to discuss)
– What we discussed
– What are the action items
I used Notion or a simple Google Doc and it worked. But I always wanted something more structured and lightweight.
I had also wanted to automate parts of this for a long time. Vibe coding did not work well earlier because the UX it generated was not good enough. English is simply not precise enough to describe complex UX.
That changed with Figma Make and Figma MCP. I designed the experience in Figma, connected it through MCP, and Cursor built the rest.
Popouts is the result.
Go ahead and give it a try. I would genuinely appreciate feedback.
