What do you think? …

Matthias Biehl
Hey everyone, Matthias here, the maker behind Pool Match. Thanks so much for stopping by 👋 The idea for Pool Match grew out of two parts of my life coming together. By day, I work as an experience design strategist at a global IT firm. Alongside that, I’m deeply involved in inclusion and diversity initiatives, where I kept asking myself a simple question: If division and echo chambers are growing everywhere, could there be a gentle way to bring people together again and help them step beyond their usual borders? That curiosity became Pool Match. It’s the only network where the connections come and find you. No feeds to scroll, no profiles to optimize, no algorithms trapping you in your comfort zone. Instead, people are randomly connected and given a thoughtful topic to spark an honest, human conversation - month after month. After a free trial, Pool Match costs 1 EUR per month. My goal was to make it as accessible as possible while still covering costs and keeping the project sustainable. I’d genuinely love your thoughts on this approach. Does it feel fair? Too low? The right signal of intent? I built this because I believe that even small moments of connection can create more empathy and understanding in the world. If Pool Match manages to do that just a tiny bit, then it’s already worth it to me. I’m excited to hear your feedback and learn from this community.
