Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm the maker of PingVaults. Why I built this: We spend our lives accumulating digital assets—crypto wallets, SaaS passwords, private keys, and digital notes. But what happens to them if something unexpected happens to us? I realized that passing them on securely is incredibly hard. I didn't want to trust a centralized company with my plaintext passwords, nor did I want to leave a complicated paper trail for my family to figure out. How PingVaults solves this: I built PingVaults as a zero-knowledge "dead man's switch." Zero-Knowledge: Everything is encrypted locally in your browser using AES-256-GCM. We never see your data. Permanent Storage: Encrypted vaults are pushed to Arweave. Even if our servers go down, your data lives on. Smart Trigger: If you stop responding to scheduled pings, we automatically email decryption instructions to your trusted contacts. No Passwords: It uses personal answers (e.g., "Where did we first meet?") to derive the decryption keys, so your family doesn't need to find a master password. I'm building PingVaults, and I wanted to start a discussion about something we all avoid thinking about: our digital mortality.

We secure our seed phrases, 2FA codes, and private keys with absolute paranoia. But this paranoia becomes a fatal flaw if something unexpected happens to us. If you pass away, how does your family access your digital assets without you leaving a massive security hole right now?
