THIS is amazing. Well done, @cagriaksay. Here’s a visualization of today’s product rankings (so far): Any interesting learnings yet, Cagri?
Cagri Aksay
@rrhoover Thanks Ryan! It's still early to tell, but the most visible pattern is what I'd like to call the battle of 9am :) I believe it is the time newly approved products are released by the PH team.
eddie wharton
Love it. Tufte would be proud. Is this D3?
Cagri Aksay
@eawharton @mmezzacca Thanks! Yes, I'm using D3 by the great @mbostock.

Nice patterns here :) One idea: make the product names on the right have 2 behaviors: > be links for the corresponding page on PH > highlight the line that corresponds to the product I'm hovering These behaviors were suggested since it can be hard to click on some products when lines are too close to other products or too short. Keep shipping!
Cagri Aksay
@johntheoak These are great suggestions! I'll work on them right away.

Graphs! Nice, and beautiful graphs too! Love it. Take my upvote!

Well done :) @cagriaksay One quick thought: You could link to the product pages on the right, so e.g. if I want to know what "Wipster" is I can just click on it.
Cagri Aksay
@lukasfittl @johntheoak Thanks for the suggestion. I pushed an update. The product name is a link now and hovering over it will highlight the line.

@cagriaksay happy to help ;) Much better now in my opinion. Probably one minor fix that could be made is when you see a product that has a rank between 0 to 5 and at the end of day, a 35/40 (Age of Earthquakes for example), when you hover the line of that product on the top of the page, you don't know its name since the tooltip appears near the product list on the right (in this case of Age of Earthquakes, at the bottom of the page). A fix for this could be showing the tooltip near the cursor wherever he is hovering the product line graph.

This is beautiful.

Awesome visualizations! One of my favorite PH API products. FYI, I tried updating the date in the URL to go back really far and nothing showed up.
Cagri Aksay
@thomasmeagher Thanks Tom! I built this a couple of days ago with @kimonolabs where I pull the rankings every 15 minutes. So, there's no historical data.
